THE CHARMING VILLAGE OF BURANO

Burano is a small island village in the Venetian Lagoon, northeast of Venice. The island is known for its colorful houses and lace making.

Visitors can take a water taxi from Venice to Burano, which takes about 40 minutes. Once on the island, they can explore the narrow streets lined with colorful houses, visit the Burano Lace Museum, and enjoy the views of the Venetian Lagoon from one of the many restaurants or cafes.

HOW TO GET TO BURANO FROM VENICE

In order to get to Burano from Venice, you can either take a water bus or a private boat transfer. If you’re taking a water bus, the best way to get there is by taking the #12 or #14 from Fondamente Nove.

These buses run every 30 minutes and the journey takes about 50 minutes. If you’re taking a private boat transfer, the journey will take about 40 minutes.

Things to Do in Burano

There are plenty of things to do in Burano, and the best way to explore the island is on foot.
